Angel Heart Society Success Stories – Krišjānis

Oct 07, 2022

ALA Support & Aid to Latvia  Office continues its partnership with the Angel Heart Society, whose mission is to financially support motivated, talented, hardworking children and young adults in low-income families in rural areas of Latvia.

At the end of this summer, we received a touching letter from Jēkabpils. After reading it, we immediately understood that this letter author will be our first success story of 2022/2023. We invite you to read the letter:

“My name is Krišjānis Kozuliņš. I am 8 years old. I live in Jēkabpils and study in the 2nd grade of the Jēkabpils elementary school.

I live with my mom and big brother. My dad is now in heaven with the angels. I started  playing floorball at 5, then I  played basketball. But when Jēkabpils Ice arena was built, I really wanted to play hockey. That was our dream with dad. The dream has started to come true – I have been training in Lavinas hockey program for the two years. I really like playing hockey. I will train to play until I grow up. I would like to be a hockey referee or a famous forward.”

After reading the letter, we turned to R. Laviņš’s hockey studio with the question of how our association and supporters can help Krišjānis improve his hockey skills. The hockey studio agreed to take care of the training, but funds are necessary to provide hockey equipment and travel expenses. We also want to provide Krišjāni with the opportunity to participate in camps in the summer. We thank Rodrigo Lavinas, who agreed to train the future forward for free, but we ask you to help raise funds for the rest of the expenses. When donating, please indicate the donation to Krišjānis Kozuliņš.
