Angel Heart Society Success Stories

ALA has started a partnership with the Angel Heart Society, whose mission is to financially support motivated, talented, hardworking children and young adults in low-income families in rural areas of Latvia.

Recently, support was given to Karim Klimanis – an 11th grade student of Kraslava High School. Karim excels in economics, math, physics and history. With a lot of perseverance and determination in the last year, Karim won the County Mathematic Olympics and will represent his county in the National Olympiad. Now he is preparing for this event by attending a preparatory course at the University of Latvja every Saturday, in Rīga. Currently over 50% has been donated to cover the cost of attending these classes (30 euro per trip). He lives with his family in one of the most remote regions of Latgale and comes from a family of 6 children. Karim’s father is the sole source of income for the family, working as a laborer. Karim’s future dream is to attend a university that will help him build a successful career in engineering. We wish Karim the best of luck in achieving his goals and, together with the Angel Heart Society, help to make his dreams come true.
