ALA continues its partnership with the Angel Heart Society, whose mission is to financially support motivated, talented, hardworking children and young adults in low-income families in rural areas of Latvia.
Laura Alzina is 13 years old. She lives in Mazsalaca, a small town in North Vidzeme on the Estonian border. Laura is one of 3 children in her family. She is in excellent student in the 7th grade of the Mazsalaca School. From the 1st grade, Laura has danced in the school’s folk dance ensemble. She also attends the Mazsalaca School of Music and Art. Her passion is competing in biathlons. Laura has repeatedly won first place in the Latvian summer biathlon championship, rollerskiing, LATLOPPET competitions (3-stage competition). Laura’s dream is to take part in the Winter Olympics. To make Laura’s dream come true, the most valuable support for her would be individual biathlon training with a certified trainer in a certified shooting range.
We invite you to support Laura to help achieve her athletic goals. Support the “Angel Heart” Program through ALA’s Support & Aid to Latvia office!
