In observance of the recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and restrictions for the holding of public events in the near future, the American Latvian Association board has resolved to cancel the 69th ALA Congress, which was planned for April 24-26 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The ALA Congress is the annual meeting of some of the most active leaders of the Latvian community in the U.S., who assemble to determine shared goals and strategies for ALA operations and for the greater Latvian-American community. Even if you will not be attending as a voting participant, a delegate of a member organization or as an individual member delegate, you are welcome to join the event as a partner and participant! Meet Latvians from all over the U.S. and learn about various cultural, political, educational topics that affect Latvians in the U.S. and abroad.
