The American Latvian Association and the Embassy of Latvia to the United States invite you to a virtual film night on April 30th at 7PM EDT. The Latvian romantic comedy “Homo Novus” depicts the colorful and eccentric art world of 1930s Riga. Following the viewing of the movie, the audience is invited to participate in a virtual discussion and Q&A session, led by Latvian Ambassador to the United States Māris Selga, Third Secretary Sarma Gintere, ALA Director of Education Elisa Freimane, and ALA Director of Cultural Affairs Valda Grinberga.
The film is in Latvian with English subtitles, and the discussion will be in English.
