U.S. Premiere of Iļģi Concert “Songs for the Shortest Night”

Post-folk group Iļģi and ALA are offering Latvian-Americans a unique experience for their at-home Jāņi (summer solstice) celebration this year. Only for a short time on ALA’s YouTube channel will you be able to view the Iļģi concert “Songs for the Shortest Night”, which is being premiered for the first time outside Latvia’s borders! This concert was filmed in 2009, together with the release of the album with that same name. You will hear songs from popular Iļģi albums “Īsākās nakts dziesmas”, “Ne uz vienu dienu”, “Sēju vēju”, “Kaza kāpa debesīs”, “Tur kur mīti” and “Ej tu dejot”. Sing and dance along and engage in your Jāņi festivities as you immerse yourself in the music of Iļģi!
