The American Latvian Association has resolved to continue its support of Latvia’s Garden of Destiny (“Likteņdārzs”), both by informing Latvians in the U.S. on the project’s progress, and by making a noteworthy donation. With a 15 000 EUR sponsorship, ALA has joined the highest rank of the Garden of Destiny’s supporters.
The Koknese Foundation plans to use the donated funds to finish building the central social hall. The project was begun in 2016, and will serve as a symbolic and central time capsule with a message for future generations.
