ALA Office of Education Releases Animated Videos of Folk Songs to YouTube
Wth the start of the 2019-2020 school year, ALA’s Office of Education now offers animated videos of folk songs as part of the project “Read, sing, learn!” You can find the videos here on ALA’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-q7Ku_N4SKhsVs9YUgxHOg/videos.
At the heart of the project is the idea that with simple animations accompanying a song, its meaning will be easily understood and learned. The creation of these videos by students, teachers and artists was sponsored by ALA. The ALA Office of Education hopes that folk ensemble Iecava’s performance of the song and the artists’ interesting visual interpretation will appeal to all ages and increase viewer’s interest in Latvian folklore!
