Resolution No. 2
The ALA board resolves to support the U.S. Latvian singers and dancers who will participate in the 2013 XXV Nationwide Latvian Song and XV Dance Festival in Latvia. The total support will be in the amount of $5,000. The proportions of support allotted to applicants will be determined by a board committee consisting of the Chair and the heads of the Education and Information Departments. Recipients of support must be ALA members.

Resolution No. 3
The ALA board resolves to support the 3×3 camps in 2013 in the U.S. with a $1,000 grant. The budget line item will be designated by the Chair and the Treasurer.

Resolution No. 4
The ALA board resolves to publish the third book on ALA’s history, covering activities since the year 2000. The execution will be coordinated by the Information Department with the aim of completing the book within the next two years.

Resolution No. 5
The ALA board resolves to recommend to the delegates of the 62nd Congress not to change the statutes, which currently stipulate that an organization must have at least 20 members to send one delegate to the ALA Congress. The ALA board reminds that organizations with fewer than 20 members may join together to send one delegate and also reminds that any ALA member may apply to be an Individual Member Delegate. The board notes that the number of Individual Member Delegates allowed by the statutes is usually larger than the number of interested applicants.

Resolution No. 6
The ALA board resolves to hold the next board meeting in Washington on March 8–9.

Resolution No. 7
The ALA board resolves to adopt the 2013 budget proposal, providing for $699,503 in income and $887,204 in expenses. The budget will be finally approved by the ALA Congress delegates in May.
