Board Resolutions

Resolution Nr. 1
The ALA board empowers outgoing Education office director Andra Zommere to continue to complete all information Education office tasks and requests until September 1st, 2019, with the understanding that the new director Elisa Freimane will be provided all of the information.

Resolution Nr. 2
The ALA board resolves to support the 12th Latvian Girl and Boy Scout Jamboree “Solījums” which is planned for August 11-17, 2019, in New York state with a donation of $5,000.

Resolution Nr. 3
The ALA board resolves to support the “Power of Song” tour on a supplemental as-needed basis using the balance of the LV Centennial Fund. Final amount to follow via email.

Resolution Nr. 4
In honor of the passing of Latvian Institute Director Arvids Blodnieks, the ALA board empowers Cultural Fund director Sanita Sumane to continue to complete all Latvian Institute projects and submit all project-related invoices until the future of the Latvian Institute is decided.

Resolution No. 5
ALA Board resolves to hold the Fall 2019 board meeting in Atlanta instead of the earlier planned New Jersey location. Dates to follow.
