Internships allow a targeted work experience valuable for future academic and professional careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interns from the United States can apply for a $2,500 grant for travel to and board in the location of the internship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prakses programma Latvij\u0101<\/strong> (Internship in Latvia program) \u2013 offers an authentic and substantive personal link not only with your Latvian heritage but with Latvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I have now experienced that my \u201clatvianism\u201d is not just my family&#8217;s history in the past, but there is also my personal present and future.&#8221; &#8211; Aija, Intern 2023, Investment and Development Agency of Latvia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Internships in the US program <\/strong>\u2013 offers young people of Latvian heritage who do not wish to travel to Latvia, the opportunity to work in Latvian institutions in the USA and larger Latvian organizations in the USA. <strong>Some internships are offered in English.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>During my internship, I observed how Latvia and our neighbors Lithuania and Estonia are slowly taking a tougher stance on the global arena.
